Chanmaru: Reviews & Ratings
Me and my Mom had such a wonderful experience here! The LA galbi was absolutely delicious – perfectly marinated, tender, and full of flavor. The beef soup was so comforting, rich, and hearty, exactly what I needed. Both dishes tasted authentic and freshly made, and the portions were generous too. On top of the great food, I want to give a special thanks to our server. June was so nice, attentive, and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed and explaining the dishes with a smile. Her kindness really made the meal even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves Korean food!
Clean, outstanding selection of banchan (side dish), and average authentic Korean food. I was pretty hungry, but to be honest, I didn't enjoy the food much. The restaurant was clean and the staff were helpful. Just a little bland taste for American Korean food.
July 2025 We were truly impressed by over ten small Korean banchan. The Korean tofu soup is very tasty and the bulgogi meat were thick and flavorful. Recommended highly this Korean restaurant. My rating 5 as very satisfied Taste 5/5 Temp 5/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Attentiveness 5/5 Will love to return.
It’s a classic Korean restaurant in a relatively new mall, parking is mostly easy and they bring abundant choice of side dishes. The food was very authentic actually IMO.They gave us 18 side dishes and they all tasted great. Fast and friendly service, no problems past handful times that I have been here. One of my favorites in the area.
Came here with family and we all enjoyed the food and the overall vibe. There weren’t many patrons at the time we went, which made it easy for us to have a conversation. There are many side side dishes, all of which are great. We ordered magkeoli and it was our first time having it. The lady serving us brought the brand, Kook Soon Dang, and said this particular bottle is very good. It tasted a bit nutty, however, it was refreshing. We ordered soontofu combo with bulgogi, naeng myun combo of buckwheat noodles in cold broth with kodari bbq, and two naeng myun combo of buckwheat noodles in cold broth with spicy pork. The buckwheat noodles in cold broth is a new dish for me and it had a sweetness to it. The noodles are definitely the type that you slurp and had to be cut up. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and a place to try at least once!
Best tofu house in town so far. Also 10 delicious side dishes, a rare treat these days. It's very uncommon to say the rice itself is delicious but I mean it. The rice seems to be cooked in individual bows, nicely done. Plus superb services. Highly recommend. Edit: they doubled down on their side dish game, holy cow.
New review: We have come by several more time since my last review. Chanmaru has what we consider the best seafood pancake. Their tofu soups have more volume and flavor than other similar restaurants too. If only it wasn't so far away Old review: It's a bit of a drive but the food is really good. It's my 3rd time eating here and my wife has been here more times than I. You can't go wrong with any of their tofu soups, the staff is helpful. We like how there is so much banchan with all sorts of different flavors. There is way more variety than any other Korean restaurant we've visited. We will definitely be back with the rest of the family.
This place is a hidden gem I don’t know how this place doesn’t have a higher score! Everything was perfectly seasoned! My gf got the big rib soup and it was perfectly executed. I got the cold noodles and LA Galbi combo and everything was so flavorful and mouthwatering! Lots of banchan to try out. The price was totally fair and worth it and not to mention portion size was just right! Definitely will be coming back here again!
